The China Copyright Association is a national copyright professional social organization under the supervision of the National Copyright Administration, and is the only widely representative social organization in the field of copyright in China.
1、 Purpose
The China Copyright Association follows the direction of serving the people and socialism, abides by the Constitution, relevant laws, regulations, and national policies of our country, adheres to social moral norms, unites organizations and individuals nationwide who are enthusiastic about copyright, promotes the implementation of copyright laws, organizes and promotes theoretical research and academic exchanges on copyright, and promotes the continuous improvement of China's copyright system. Simultaneously providing relevant services to copyright owners and users of works, safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of rights holders, and promoting the development and prosperity of socialist culture and science.
2、 Main functions
The China Copyright Association is committed to assisting national legislative, judicial, and administrative departments in promoting the implementation of copyright law, undertaking social service work separated from government functions after the transformation, assisting rights holders in safeguarding their rights, providing legal advice and related services, including assisting copyright related industries in establishing copyright protection mechanisms; Plays a coordinating role among government departments, rights holders' organizations, and users of works involved in copyright. At the same time, in order to learn and promote the newly revised Copyright Law and its supporting regulations, and to promote the implementation of the new version of the Copyright Law, the China Copyright Association has cooperated with relevant departments and organizations to hold a series of seminars and training courses, promoting communication, exchange, and cooperation among various aspects of copyright.
Its main business is to promote theoretical research on copyright legislation, judiciary, and management; Carry out academic and information exchange on copyright at home and abroad; Promote and popularize copyright knowledge, organize professional copyright training; Provide copyright legal consultation and policy recommendations; Promote collective management of copyright, undertake copyright appraisal, and provide services for copyright agency, copyright trade, etc; Investigate and report infringement and piracy, and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of rights holders; Organize social welfare undertakings that are in line with the association's purpose.
