The Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center is a key project designated by the People's Government of Hainan Province. It is a multifunctional complex that integrates conferences, exhibitions, hotels, large-scale commercial and residential areas, and serves as an important platform and carrier for the development of modern service industry in Haikou City. The Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center can host large-scale international exhibitions with an exhibition area of 120000 square meters, and can hold conferences and various forms of festive banquets for 10000 people. It has become a high-end service platform for international official and business activities in Hainan Province, and also a unique "city business card" of Haikou.

Phase I Layout

The total construction area of Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center is 135200 square meters, with a maximum span of 36 meters. The roof is a three-dimensional curved mesh shell structure with a concrete roof. It has functions such as exhibition halls, theaters, and large multifunctional conference halls, with a complex structural design.

The exhibition center covers an area of over 70000 square meters and has 6 exhibition halls, which can accommodate a total of 2300 standard booths; The exhibition center covers an area of over 35000 square meters, including a multifunctional hall that can accommodate 2000 people, a theater style conference hall that can accommodate over 2000 people, an international conference hall with a simultaneous interpretation system that can accommodate 700 people, and 18 VIP reception halls and other facilities.

Phase II Layout

The total investment of the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center Phase II project is 2.019 billion yuan, with a total construction area of approximately 198600 square meters, including 113600 square meters of above ground buildings, 85000 square meters of underground buildings, and 86800 square meters of exhibition halls. After completion, the first and second phases can host international large-scale exhibitions with an exhibition area of 120000 square meters. The multifunctional international conference function is more complete, and it can hold meetings for 10000 people and various forms of festivals, parties, banquets and other activities. After completion, it will be connected to the first phase to form an organic whole, complementing each other and becoming a multifunctional composite exhibition complex

The first floor of the North Hall of Phase II of Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center is Exhibition Hall 5, with a total area of 14000 square meters. The top is made of white perforated aluminum plate, which curves like a wave; The second floor is a 4000 square meter banquet hall that can accommodate large conferences with over 5000 people. It can be used separately or divided into several small halls for use. There are four exhibition halls on the first floor of the South Pavilion, each with an area of over 10000 square meters. The North and South Pavilions are connected by ground level bridges, with a total construction area of approximately 201800 square meters, including an indoor exhibition area of approximately 75000 square meters and a total investment of 2.603 billion yuan. The ground is a partially two-story building, with main functions including a main hall, front hall, exhibition hall, exhibition hall and conference center, garage, and exhibition facilities.

The Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center Phase II project innovatively utilizes new technologies and materials such as environmental protection, energy conservation, wind resistance, earthquake resistance, and corrosion prevention, while meeting basic functions and technical indicators. The main structure is made of steel, and the building assembly rate reaches 83.8%. The entire project widely adopts new materials such as environmentally friendly microporous sound-absorbing aluminum plates with fabric texture, which not only ensures the acoustic quality of the super large multifunctional hall, but also meets the requirements of fire protection.

Surrounding road network

The municipal road network project of Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center is located on the north side of Changliu Qidian District and the northern area of Binhai Avenue in Haikou City, including four municipal roads: No. 16, No. 21, No. 22, and No. 23. These four roads, along with Binhai Avenue, form a circular road network structure around the convention and exhibition center. Binhai Avenue is the main urban road, while Roads 16, 22, and 23 are Class I secondary urban roads, and Road 21 is a Class I urban branch road.

The municipal road network project of Hainan Convention and Exhibition Center is located on the north side of Changliu Qidian District and the northern area of Binhai West Road in Haikou City, including four municipal roads: No. 16, No. 21, No. 22, and No. 23. These four roads, along with Binhai West Road, form a circular road network structure around the convention and exhibition center. Binhai West Road is the main urban road, while Roads 16, 22, and 23 are Class I secondary urban roads, and Road 21 is a Class I urban branch road. Among them, Road 16 is located on the east side of the Convention and Exhibition Center, running north-south from Binhai West Road in the south to Road 21 in the north, with a total length of 592 meters and a red line width of 25 meters. It is designed as a two-way four lane road. Route 22 is located on the west side of the Convention and Exhibition Center, running north-south from Binhai West Road in the south to Route 21 in the north, with a total length of 610 meters and a red line width of 42 meters. Route 23 is located on the east side of the Convention and Exhibition Center, running north-south from Binhai West Road in the south to Route 21 in the north, with a total length of 569 meters and a red line width of 32 meters.
